LAWTON, Okla. – Georgie Davis Mendenhall, 93, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.  

She was born March 14, 1923 to Wiley Oscar and Maggie Bell (Johnson) Robbins in Lane, Okla. 

She attended school in Tushka, Okla.  

She married Ernest William Davis Jan. 20, 1942 at  the Methodist Church in Coalgate, Okla. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1972. 

She married Carl Raymond Mendenhall May 21, 1977 at the First Baptist Church in Adams, Okla.  He preceded her in death Nov. 9, 1990.  

She worked for Duckwall's and Alco's in the customer service department for 20 years in Liberal.  

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tyrone, Okla., and was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan. 

Survivors include daughter, Betty Lou Edwards and son-in-law Elvis (Butch), Lawton, Okla.; son, Ernest Lee Davis and daughter-in-law, Lavena, Liberal; sister, Rosie May Mofield, Corning, Calif.; stepsons, Dean Mendenhall and Jackie Mendenhall; four grandchildren: Debbie Stone and husband, Jeff, Catoosa, Okla., Michelle Edwards, Memphis, Tenn., Cindy David and husband, Kelly, Lacey, Wash., and Ronnie Davis and wife, Mary, Plains; four great grandchildren: Jessica Stone, Jacqueline Stone, Tanner Davis, and Matthew Davis; four nieces; and two nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bonnie Lee Furr, Rapid City, S.D.; brother, Wiley Jacob Robbins, Atoka, Okla.; stepson, Max Mendenhall; two nieces; and two nephews.

• Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Okla. with the Rev. Jeff Stone and the Rev. Kelly David presiding.

Memorials are suggested to the Pulpit Flower Fund, First Baptist Church, 501 SW B Avenue, Lawton, OK 73501 or to the Hooker Cemetery Association, Hooker, OK.
