Obituary

HUGOTON – Rickey Gene Hawkins, 64, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at his daughter’s home in Garden City.

He was born Aug. 4, 1946, to Paskel Boyd and Dorothy Marie (Burns) Hawkins in Decatur, Ark.

He retired from the sanitation department in December 2005 with the City of Hugoton.

Survivors include his mother; two daughters, Jamie Lynn Fenti and husband, David, Ardmore, Okla., Anna Charlene Roth and husband, Broc, Garden City; one brother, Philip Boyd Hawkins and wife, Cheri, Hugoton; one sister, Joyce Marie Cox and husband, Virgil, Hugoton; six grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; one son, Kelly Scott Hawkins; one brother, Carl Hawkins; one grandson, Anson Brody Roth.

o Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Hugoton with Minister Richard Martin presiding.

Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.

Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Paul’s Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to either the American Cancer Society or St. Catherine Hospice and may be mailed to Paul’s Funeral Home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
