B.J. Rausher, 59, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born May 18, 1951, to Clare and Edith Adams Rausher at Nelson, Neb.
He married Leta I. Turpin Nov. 1, 1979, in Perryton, Texas. She survives.
He graduated Nelson High School in 1969 and attended tech school in Denver, eceiving a degree in auto mechanics.
He came to Liberal in 1973 working for Richard Rose Pontiac, Hasty Motors, City of Liberal for 15 years and several years as parts manager at Chrysler Corner.
He enjoyed his family and watching NASCAR and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
He is also survived by his mother; two sons, Billy J. Rausher, N.Y., and Christopher D. Dudley, Liberal; two daughters, Rachel R. Rausher, Andover, and Joanne Schafer and husband, Richard, Wichita; one sister, Virginia Lynch and husband, Edgar, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Rebecca Rausher.
o Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the Western Avenue Church of Christ, with Ron Davis and Gerry Dupuis presiding.
Cremation will follow funeral services.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Miller Mortuary.
