INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Pauline Martin, 89, died Friday July 30, 2010, at her home in Independence, Mo.
She was born July 23, 1921, to David and Bertha Baird in Stevens County.
She married Russell Martin in 1940 in Liberal. He preceded her in death.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing and playing cards.
Survivors include one son, Richard Martin and wife, Debbie, Lake Jackson, Texas; one daughter, Marilyn Moon and husband, Michael, Blue Springs, Mo.; four grandchildren, Tonya (Martin) Bowen, Tracey (Martin) Landon and husband, Curtis, Michelle (Moon) Herrold and husband, Jack, and James Moon and wife, Andrea; 14 great-grandchildren, Matthew Bowen, Nicole Bowen, Somer Cooley, Lacy Bowen, Chance Walker, Jasmine Soto, Holly Soto, Truman Moon, Alexandra Soto, Andrew Moon, Nicholas Herrold, Mary Moon, Eleanor Herrold and Claire Herrold; three great-great-grandchildren, Anthony Bowen, Cash Navarro and Bo Dixon.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers Charles and Virgil Baird, and her sisters, Goldie Hutchens, Irene Stout, Lucille Stowe, Margaret Hill, Grace Hibbs, Georgia Harding and Velma Oliver.
o Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery.
