CASTLE ROCK, Colo. – Dr. Jan S. Heidbreder, 64, died Friday, June 25, 2010, after a two-year battle with cancer.

He was born  on May 19, 1946, to Walter M. and Elizabeth Heidbreder in Kansas City, Mo.

He graduated from Liberal High School in 1964, received his bachelor’s degree from Phillips University in Enid, Okla., and graduated from the UMKC School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Castle Rock for 35 years.

He is survived by his mother; his wife, Dianne Heidbreder; two daughters, Amy (Karl) Johnson and Kristin Heidbreder; two grandchildren; two nephews; and one sister, Dr. Beth Miller, Rio Rancho, N.M.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.

o A celebration of life was at 11 a.m. today atthe Douglas County Events Center at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, Colo.

Memorials are suggested to the J.S. Heidbreder Youth Foundation at the First United Methodist Church of Castle Rock, 1200 South Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104.
