The driver of this black 1997 Dodge pickup, an 18-year-old female, was injured when she drove northbound through the median and hit the red 2005 Ford Explorer head-on around 2:15 Friday afternoon in the 1800 block of North Kansas Avenue. According to Liberal Police Capt. Pat McClurg, the female was taken to Southwest Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and was cited for driving in the wrong lane and failure to provide proof of insurance. McClurg said the Explorer was driven by a 17-year-old female who had a 13-year-old female passenger and both were uninjured. All three were wearing seat belts. Daily Leader photos/Jessica Crawford
