ULYSSES – Shirley Ann Harmon, 69, died Sunday, June 6, 2010, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.
She was born Aug. 3, 1940, to Lawrence and Alice (McCoy) Reece in Prowers County, south of Holly, Colo.
She graduated from Holly High School.
She married Larry D. Harmon Jan. 31, 1959 in Holly, Colo. He survives.
She worked as a librarian at the Stanton County Library.
She was a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed reading, shopping, making jewelry, crafting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is also survived by one son, Marc D. Harmon and Maria Crow, Ulysses; one twin brother, Larry Reece and wife, Phyliss, Riverside, Miss; one sister, Carol Lucas, Burlington, Colo.; four grandchildren, Chad Harmon, Cody Harmon, Jami Harmon, Lori Beohler; and four great-grandchildren, Kaiya, Kimbria, Aleya and Kinsley Harmon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Mallari Harmon and Todd Crow.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson with the Rev. Dave Kaufmann presiding.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
