Johnny Lynch, 75, of Hooker, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at his home in Hooker.

Johnny was born on June 19, 1934, in Kismet, Kansas, to Walt and Catherine (Ormiston) Lynch. He attended Hooker High School.

He worked at Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America for 34 years, retiring in 1986.

On April 11, 1951, Johnny was united in marriage to Geneva Nell Herndon in Perryton, Texas.

He was a member of the Hooker United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents, his sisters; Patsy Headrick, Joyce Norrell, and Caralee Pierce; his brother, Dale Lynch, a grandson, Jason Lambert, and a granddaughter, Nikki Jacobs.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie, of the home, a sister Zelda Lowe of Farmington, New Mexico, his sons, Jim Lynch and his wife Diana of Denton, Texas; Greg Lynch and his wife, Shari, of Hooker; his daughters, Nancy Lambert and her husband, Rick of Satanta, Kansas; Linda Oliver and her husband, Joe of Hooker; and Laurie Ruiz and her husband Angel of Hooker; eight grandsons, Josh Lambert, Jeremy Lynch, Jonathan Lynch, Zach Oliver, John Lynch, Matthew Lambert, Andrew Ruiz, and Aaron Ruiz; six granddaughters, Rachel Lee, Rebekah Yates, Jessica Dolezal, Elizabeth Harper, Jenifer Metcalf, and Sarah Ruiz; 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

o Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Hooker with Rev. Jerry Raab, Rev. Chris McFarland, and Eddy Scoggins officiating.

Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Hooker.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
