TURPIN, Okla. – Eugene Regier, 77, died Monday, May 24, 2010 at his home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1933, to Henry and Lena Nachtigal Regier at the Regier Homestead near Turpin, Okla.

He married Florence Dick Aug. 12, 1953, in Turpin. She survives.

He attended Turpin High School  and Oklahoma Bible Academy, Meno, Okla.

He was a rancher and farmer of Beaver County.

He was a member of the Turpin Mennonite Church, served several years on the Turpin School Board, member of the Turpin Booster Club and an agent for the Mennonite Mutual Property Aid for many years.

He is also survived by three sons, Bob Regier and wife, Lynette, Turpin, Alan Regier and wife, Jean, Turpin, and Kerry Regier and wife, Stacey, Forgan, Okla.; one brother, Arnold Regier, Liberal; one sister, Tillie Schmidt, Marion; six grandchildren, Brandi Parker and husband, Chad, Cody Regier and wife, Sonya, Jenny Epp and husband, David, Sarah Goering and husband, and Matt, Justin and Jake Regier; six great-grandchildren, Saylor and Bryson Parker, Kylie, Ryleigh, Kamryn Regier and Lincoln Epp.

He was preceded in death by  his parents, two brothers Dave and Henry Regier, and three sisters, Anna Koehn, Agnes Buller and Esther Epp.

o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Turpin Mennonite Church with Pastor Peter Emery presiding.

Burial will be at the Turpin Mennonite Cemetery.

Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Mortuary with the family present to greet friends from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Turpin Mennonite Church Building Fund or to donor’s option in care of the mortuary.
