GUYMON, Okla. – Dennis J. Clutter, 52, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.

He was born Sept. 23, 1957, to Donald William and Ila Jean Johnson Clutter in Liberal.

He married Karen Walter in League City, Texas.

He married Jackie Steinle Herald  Dec. 3, 1998, in Liberal. She survives.

He attended Hooker schools graduating from Hooker High School with the Class of 1976.

After graduation, he began working for Citi Service in Anadarko, Okla. He later moved to League City, where he also worked with a heating and air conditioning company.  He returned to Hooker, Okla., and began working as a roughneck in the oil fields which he did for seventeen years. For 11 years, he had worked for Groendyke Transport, where he was currently working, as a truck driver, at the time of his death.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hooker.

He enjoyed working on his ’56 Chevy, being with the grandkids and working outside. He followed all sports especially football.

He is also survived by one daughter, Jaclyn Wilson, League City,; one stepson, Jeff Herald and wife, Kathy, Hooker; one stepdaughter, Sheree Dobbins and her late husband, Paul, Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Brent Lile and wife, Gina, Booker, Texas, and Rodger Clutter, Chicago; two sisters, Joanell Short, Hooker, and DeeDee Thompson,  Strong City; eight grandchildren, Jack Hardin, Brent Herald, Peyton Dobbins, Trevor Dobbins, Kesleigh Dobbins, Ema Herald, Roy Herald and Grace Herald.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Hooker with the Rev. Jerry Raab presiding.

Burial will be atthe Hooker Cemetery.
