SUBLETTE – Orville L. Staton, 81, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Life Care Services in Andover.
He was born March 26, 1929, to Don and Cecil Irene (Roberds) Staton in Winfield.
He married Jessie Arline Wax June 9, 1946, in Wichita. She died May 30, 2004.
He was employed by Northern Natural Gas Company for 35 years and retired as a maintenance supervisor.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Sublette.
Survivors include one son, Larry Staton and wife, Kathi, Wichita; four brothers, Glen and wife, Pat, Jerry and wife, Edwina, Tom and wife, Sally, and Ed; two grandchildren, Hilary Kramer and husband, Joe, and Stephanie Pedersen and husband, Trevor; two great-grandchildren, Brodie Staton and Emma Pedersen; and other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dick and Billie, and one sister, Roseanna.
o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Christian Church in Sublette with Minister David Erwin presiding.
Burial will be at the Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Haskell County Funeral Home.
