ELLINWOOD – Matilda M. Prosser, 93, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Ellinwood District Hospital.
She was born March 24, 1917, to Alois and Barbara (Probst) Birzer in Odin.
She married William F. Prosser April 15, 1941, in Odin. He preceded her in death Feb. 5, 2005.
She was a homemaker.
She was a memeber of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Altar Society in Ellinwood.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Prosser and wife, Leona, Great Bend and Fred Prosser and wife, Murine, Claflin; four daughters, Luetta Haynes and husband, John, Liberal, Wilma Stroud, Olathe, Elaine Trantham and husband, Bill, Sharon and Charlotte Schartz and husband, Barry, Manhattan; one sister, Anne Dreiling, Odin; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood, with Father Charles Mazouch presiding.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Kimple Funeral Home.
There will be a vigil followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
