ALABELLE L. ALLEN

Alabelle Louise Allen, 80, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in Liberal.

She was born May 18, 1928, to Stephen and Ethel (Bigham) Tindell in Beckham County, Okla.

She married J.R. Allen Dec. 29, 1942, in Wheeler, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1983.

She ranched with her husband.

Survivors include one son, Larry Allen and wife, Dena, Liberal; three daughters, Christina Wells and husband, Greg, Liberal, Janice Gaskill and husband, Mike, Liberal, and June Hartley and husband, Charlie, Durham, Okla; three sisters, Lola Smart and Wanda Dodd, both of Sayre, Okla., and Mary Bridges, Franklinton, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lovina Gail, and one grandson, Ryan Gaskill.

o A celebration of life was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Reydon First Baptist Church with Dr. Alberta Helton and Brother Ray Smart presiding.

Burial was at Silent Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Silent Home Cemetery or the Moscow Senior Center.
