Breaking ground on Western Avenue PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 14 April 2010 10:10

City commissioners, Focus on the Future members and Chamber Ambassadors gathered to officially break ground on the Western Avenue improvement project Tuesday afternoon. The Western Avenue project will be funded by the one-cent sales tax along with general funds. Focus on the Future has been rallying to get the one-cent tax voted in again in November of this year, as it is scheduled to be retired in 2011. The one-cent sales tax is also responsible for the community building currently under construction in Mahuron Park. Photo courtesy Rozelle Webb
