No one was injured Tuesday when a van collided with a passenger car at the intersection of Second and Kansas Avenue.

Police received a call at 1:04 Tuesday that a wreck had occured at the intersection of Second Stret and Kansas and that traffic was being disrupted.

Investigating officers learned a 2002 Dodge Caravan driven by a 46-year-old male was northbound on Kansas and attempted to turn left onto Second Street. However, according to a statement released by Liberal Police Cpl. Russell Almes, the Caravan failed to yield to a 2002 Acura Integra driven by a 36-year-old male heading southbound on Kansas and was struck by the Integra.

There were no injuries in the accident, Almes noted, and the driver of the Caravan was cited for the accident. The van also had to be towed from the scene.
