In Loving Memory
God called home his servant Wilbur D. DeCamp April 1, 2010. Wilbur was born December 26, 1926 to his God fearing parents William and Clarissa DeCamp. He married his soul mate and best friend Jaunita Walker they celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary February 22, 2010.
Wilbur was a graduate of Hugoton High School.
Wilbur is survived by his wife of the home Jaunita, his three darling daughters and son-in-laws –Vickie and Ezra C. King III, Janis and Randy Malin, Jeri and David Rice all of Liberal, Kansas. One Sister Ione Ryan of Aurora, Colorado. One Brother and Sister-in-law Wayne and Shirley DeCamp of Hugoton, Kansas. Four grandchildren: Kelly King of Garden City, Kansas, Jennifer Malin of Liberal, Kansas, Brandon Nix of Childress, Texas and Jason Malin of Branson, Missouri. Four great grandchildren: Jessica Malin and Aspen Jaramillo of Liberal, Kansas, Kurt and Cameron Malin of Branson, Missouri.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents William and Clarissa DeCamp of Tyrone, Oklahoma.
Wilbur was a life time farmer and resident of Stevens County, Kansas. He was a founder of Lone Star Friends Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and treasurer for several years, as well as being on several committees. Wilbur was a 4-H Leader for many years of the West Line Pals 4-H Club.
Wilbur loved God, his family, farming and flying RC planes. Wilbur received a Soil Conservation Award for his farming in 1968.
Wilbur was a humble man who loved God and loved his wife as Christ loves the Church and raised and disciplined his children according to the scriptures of the Holy Bible. He was such an example of Jesus, and what a legacy he leaves behind because when you saw Wilbur you saw Jesus. He was an example of how we are to live!
o A Celebration of his Life will be held at Lone Star Friends Church Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm and burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 - 4 pm Sunday and 9 am - 8 pm Monday with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 pm Monday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
