PLAINS – Mildred (Laepple) Lynn, 91, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center in Meade.
She was born Oct. 19, 1918, to Karl and Jessie (Fleeman) Laepple in Plains.
She married Estel (E.N.) Lynn Feb. 8, 1941, in Kinsley. He died Jan. 11, 1992.
She graduated from Plains High School in 1937.
She was baptized and became a lifetime member of the Plains United Methodist Church.
She joined the Order of the Eastern Star in 1946 and was Worthy Matron of the Plains Chapter in 1960. She became a 50-year life member in 1996. She was also a member of the Kimball Club for 50 years.
She is survived by one son, Jerry and wife, Rita, Killeen, Texas; one grandson, Matt and wife, Linda, Plains; one grandson, Eric Lucas, Austin, Texas; one granddaughter, Debbie Lynn, Killeen; one granddaughter, Kimberly McFall, Pawhuska, Okla.; two great-grandchildren, Clayton Lynn and Kayla Lynn.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Carl; and one sister, Florence.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Plains, with the Rev. Steve Morgan presiding.
Burial will be at the Plains Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
