The first rehearsal for the Southwest Symphony Society orchestra will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the choir and band rehearsal room in the Humanities Building at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School.

“We welcome new talent of all ages,” Compaan said, “and we would like to expand the size of our orchestra.”
Tentative dates for the concert season include Sunday, Oct. 12; Sunday, Dec. 7; and Sunday, May 3, 2015. Each concert would be at 2 p.m.
The Southwest Symphony Society is a Liberal non-profit organization dedicated to promoting classical and contemporary music in the community utilizing the talents of local and professional musicians. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, it relies on donations to support its activities.
