ULYSSES – Lee Birdsill, 76, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 at Kansas Medical Center in Andover.
He was born Aug. 1, 1938 to Vernon and Marguerite (Ogden) Birdsill in Edgewater, Colo.
He married Shirley Shonyo in 1955 in Granby. She survives.
He grew up and graduated high school in Granby, Colo.
He was a manager for Dowell Schlumberger.
After he retired he worked at the school as a custodian, and the Bentwood Golf Course as a starter.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping.
Survivors also include sons, Albert “Skip” Birdsill Jr., Fort Dodge, and Jim Birdsill and wife, Karen, Glendale, Ariz.; daughters, Tammy Allen and husband, Jess, Battle Creek, Mich., Kimberly Helfenbein and husband DeWayne, Gallup, N.M. and Theresa (Terri) Pucket and husband, David, Ulysses; brothers, Ted Birdsill of Tabernash, Colo., and Jim Birdsill, Grand Junction, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
• Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at the Bentwood Golf Course on the 18th Green in Ulysses with Pastor Jess Allen presiding.
