KISMET – J.B. Esser, 52, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal of injuries sustained in a truck-auto accident.
He was born July 20, 1957, to William A. and Coralee Woodward Esser in Topeka.
He married Pamela K. Rummery in 1977 in Clay Center.
He attended school in Topeka and received eight degrees in welding from area trade schools.
He was involved in construction, owning and operating J.B. Construction to present.
He is survived by his parents; two sons, Chad Esser, Wichita, and Jimmy Ketcherside, Plains; one daughter, Monica Rae Cox and husband, Brian, Plains; companion Donna K. Ketcherside, Kismet; four brothers, Bill Esser and wife, Maureen, Medford, Ore., Phil Esser and wife, Cheryl, Fort Worth, Texas, Mike Esser and wife, Colleen, Topeka, and Chris Esser, Moriarty, N.M.; three sisters, Lydia Gilliland and husband, Kenneth, Holton, Bonita Sanchez and husband, Larry, Edgewood, N.M., and Margaret Covington and husband Lynn, Hugo, Okla.; five grandchildren, Logan, Brayden, Kyler Cox, Rylee O’Banion and Dylan Dawson; and his favorite dog “Muttley.”
o Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kismet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Morgan presiding.
Burial will be at the Kismet Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary.
