People are already excited to see the live version of “Family Feud” during this year’s festivities at the Five State Fair and fans of another popular game show “The Newlywed Game” will also have a reason to be excited.
‘The “Not-So-Newlywed Game” will be on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. in the Activity Center. While the popular old game show used specifically newlywed couples, couples who have been married from between a few months and many years were invited to participate in this game.
“We like to have a variety of years. We seem to get better answers that way,” Jennifer Malin, president of the Five State Fair board, said.
This is the third year the game has been a part of the fair’s festivities and Malin said she hopes it will continue to stay that way.
“We had such a great turnout last year, we wanted to bring it back,” Malin said. “Everyone loved it and thought it was funny and everyone seemed to have a good time.”
The game is so popular, in fact, Malin said there was a surplus of sign-ups – while only five teams were needed, there were eight teams who signed up. Malin also said she just hopes people have a good time at the game, like everything else at the fair.
“I just want people to have fun and for the game to be good entertainment,” she said. “It’s funny, and people love it!”
