Boys and girls of Spring prepare for … Batter up! PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 25 March 2010 14:30

Liberal city workers install a new net around the batting cages Monday morning at Blue Bonnet Park. Several high school students earned community service during the weekend piecing the net together with wire. “We have to go around and fasten the bottom, that’s what we’re doing now. Eventually we’ll pull it all up a little bit more and then we’ll do all of our final stuff like cutting the holes for the gates,” said Gary Scott of Parks and Rec. “It was quite a job, we had a lot of guys up here working on this,” he said.  The concessions area at Blue Bonnet Park will open on April 3 with the batting cages tentatively set to open May 1.
