The Liberal Bee Jays fell again to the Hays Larks Wednesday night in Hays.  Liberal squandered a t 4-3 lead, losing 5-4.


The Larks bounced back in the bottom of the third to take te lead with a pair of base hits. Hays added another in the fourth to go up, 3-1.
Liberal looked good early, scoring on a fielder’s choice to take a 1-0 lead in the second inning Liberal did not record a hit in the inning.

The Bee Jays rallied to score three runs in the top of the sixth with two outs. Alec Isaac hit an RBI single to left center. Justin McCarty doubled off the wall to score two runs to give the Bee Jays a 4-3 lead.

A Hays homer in the in the bottom of the sixth knotted the game at four.

In the seventh, Hays lead-off man reached on an error and eventually scored the winning run.

Nick Jones took the loss for the Bee Jays.

The loss evened the season series with Hays.

Liberal is 16-15 overall and 10-15 in the Jayhawk Leage. Liberal will travel to El Dorado for a three-game series that starts Friday.
