Obituary

 

Herbert Wilson Knox, 80, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

He was born February 9, 1934 to Dean E. & Lorraine (Wilson) Knox in Stratford, Texas.

He worked for Star Lumber for 33 years and then he went to work for Department of Kansas State Road & Bridge for 20 years.

Survivors include three brothers: Virgil Knox, Tyrone, Okla., Floyd Knox and wife, Shirley, Hugoton, and Tony Knox and wife Donna, Santa Clarita, Calif.; three sisters: Odessa Leavitt, Happy, Texas, Nellie Creason, Longview, Texas, and Maxine Sexton, Wichita; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Delbert Leslie Knox SR; and four nephews: Johnny Bell, Delbert Leslie Knox JR, Eric Leslie Knox, Donald Munn and Joe Fraizer.

• Graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association.  Memorials may be mailed to Paul's Funeral Home-PO Box 236-Hugoton, KS 67951.
