The search for the missing 5-year-old boy in Beaver County continues today at Evans Chambers Lake, also known as Clear Lake locally.

Wednesday’s search for the boy’s body was to no avail. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol sent in reinforcements Tuesday evening to aid the recovery of the child but had to quit when it became too dark.

A team of divers from all over the state of Oklahoma resumed the search this morning, according to Lt. Betsy Randolph of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Public Affairs Division.

The OHP has been searching for the child’s body since 6:29 p.m. Tuesday night, when a double drowning incident was reported at the lake and reinforcements were sent in.

The child was with a Caucasian woman at the lake. Her body was found Tuesday night by the boat ramps, according to Randolph.

Neither the identity of the woman nor the boy have yet to be confirmed by law enforcement officials. However, other sources have identified the boy as Aiden Hammock.
