Rhonda Lynn Bartling, 60,  died on Thursday, May 29, 2014, in Grand Island, Neb.

She was born on September 10, 1953, to A.J. "Blackie" and Leona (Hall) Nelson in Liberal.

She married Randy Bartling on July 27, 1985, in Las Vegas,  N.V. He survives.

She graduated from Liberal High School in 1971.

She worked in the Long Term Care at Aurora Hospital and the Nebraska Veterans Home.  After retirement, she ran an in-home day care.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was an active volunteer for the Postal Service's "Stamp Out Hunger Drive" and the MS Walk.

She enjoyed watching NASCAR and NHRA. She was an avid Nebraska Huskers and Denver Broncos fan.

Other survivors include her son, Chad Bartling and significant other, Lisa Parriott, Syracuse, Neb.; daughters, Rachael Dvorak and significant other, Shane Bushhousen, Palmer, Jana Nuzum and  husband, Brad, Grand Island, Danielle Christian and fiancé, Chris Higney, Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers, Jim (Colleen) Billinger, Iola, Ark., Rocky (Emily) Nelson, Ft. Collins, Colo., Jack Nelson, Phoenix, Ariz. and  Buck Nelson, Phoenix; sisters, Rene Nelson and significant other, Don Branstine, Liberal and Ramona (Nick) Schwindt, Liberal; grandchildren, Tiffany,  Grace and  Kendall Bartling, Jayden, Reilly, Kadie and Jacob Dvorak,  Lauren and Michael Drake, Chase Nuzum and Austin and Natalee Christian; great-grandchildren, Jayden Caudle and Christopher Rey;  aunt, Iona, Satanta; and her many day care children and her pet, Princess Bo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jennifer; and parents-in-law, Herman and Rose Bartling.

o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, with the  Rev. Bob Rhodes presiding.

Burial will follow at Grand Island City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. tonight at All Faiths Funeral Home.

A memorial fund will be established in Rhonda's name.
