L&T staff report
Do you have what it takes to race around Liberal to earn a chance at winning $1,000?
This summer, the Leader & Times is bringing back the Ozsome Race.
The contest is open to teams of two or more, and one member of the team has to have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Teams can be couples, youth groups, businesses, friends or any other combination.
The games begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7 and should take about an hour or two (unless a competing team gets lost in Liberal!).
Each week, teams will compete to win a leg of the Ozsome race by deciphering clues to find the right location and then completing a task at that location. When they have successfully completed the task, they will be given a new clue to the next location until they finally reach Dorothy on the other side of the rainbow!
The winning team will automatically qualify for the final race during the Five State Free Fair in August. Teams may come back and compete throughout the summer but must sit out a week after winning a leg of the race.
The winner of the final race will win $1,000.
There is no cost to participate other than your fuel, use of your own vehicle and your time.
Each Tuesday following the race, the story will be shared in the L&T and at leaderandtimes.com.
This is a great team-building activity as well as a lot of fun for all ages.
