The Liberal tennis team traveled to Garden City Monday for the Western Athletic Conference tournament and took fourth out of the five teams.

In No.1 singles, Liberal went 2-2 to finish third.

Liberal also went 2-2 in No. 2 singles for a third-place finish.

In No. 1 doubles, the Redskins could not get a win and finsihed 0-4 for fifth place.

The No. 2 Doubles team split the day at 2-2 for a third place finish.

“Liberal lost two exciting tiebreakers to keep them from scoring higher but competed hard and finished the season playing their best tennis,” Liberal coach Bret Irby said.

The Redskins travel to Ark City for the regional tournament Saturday.
