L&T staff report

The Liberal Redskins took second at the Colby Invitational Tennis Tournament.  Garden City finished first with 34 points followed by Liberal with 29 points and Colby with 28.  Competing teams included Hays, Trego, Scott City, Ulysses, Russell,    Colby and Garden City.

Individual Results:

No. 1 Singles — Buddy Buchanan went 2-2 and finished fourth.

No. 2 Singles — Mitchell Irby went 3-1 to take third.

No. 1 Doubles — Payton Grant and Carlos Hernandez went 2-1 for a second place finish.

No. 2 Doubles — Sergio Borjas and  Ho Ho went 2-1 and finished second.

Liberal participated in the Western Athletic Conference tournament today in Garden City.
