HUGOTON – Annis Belle Stremel, 82, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin.

She was born Jan. 14, 1932 to Howard and Lenora Amen (Hodges) Willis in Stevens County.

Annis married Willie Williams.  He preceded her in death.

She grew up in Hugoton and attended Hugoton schools.

She graduated from Cosmetology School and owned her own salon in Liberal.

She worked in the cafeteria at McKinley Grade School after retiring from the salon.

Survivors include two sons, David Stremel, Montana, and Carl Stremel of Alabama; daughter, Caroline Mays, Tennessee; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.

• Funeral service will be on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Hugoton Cemetery with Pastor Bob Bates presiding.

Friends may call today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton.
