HOOKER, Okla—On a day where heavy winds and occasional rain effected most events, the Panhandle Conference meet came down to the day's final event, the 1600 meter relay. Turpin edged Texhoma by 17-hundredths of a second to claim gold in the event and put them over the top in team scoring by four points.

Turpin's other first place finishes came from Brad Alba in both hurdle events, and Trevor Mote in the 200.

On the girls side, Texhoma ran away with the team title by over 100 points. Turpin, Beaver, and Hooker finished second, third and fourth with just a total of four points separating them.
