DODGE CITY – Sarah Andrews, 85, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Lancaster Manor, Lincoln, Neb.

She was born July 28, 1928 to Juan Zamora and Jesus Olivia Sanchez at Frizell in Pawnee County.

She married Samuel Andrews in 1951 in Dodge City.  He preceded her in death on August 15, 1984.

She worked at numerous restaurants in Dodge City and was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Bingo and loved cooking and making tortillas for family and friends.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.

Survivors include sons: Greg and wife Manuela, Dodge City, Sam, Jr. and wife Jodi, Shawnee Mission, Gary and wife Charla, Liberal and Carlos and wife Dalene, Lawrence; daughter, Ida Burdue and husband Brian, Lincoln; honorary daughter, Tola Ceballos, Lincoln; sisters: Jeannie Ramos, Rosella Rodriquez, Mary Ontiberos and Betty Martinez and husband Rick, all of Dodge City; 32 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Ralph, John, Tom and Pete; daughter, Virginia Wells; brothers, Valentine and Tony Sanchez: grandsons: Nick Andrews, Jim Wells, Charles Burdue, Anthony Andrews and Gary Wells; and great-grandson, Alejandro Andrews.

• Vigil service will be 7 p.m. today at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe with Fr. Wesley Schawe presiding.

Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
