DUMAS, Texas – Gerald "Gary" Volden, 68, died Thursday, March 6, 2014.
He was born Dec. 19, 1945, to Dale and Leta Volden in Liberal. 
He married Judy Lee on Oct. 2, 1970, in Perryton, Texas.  He served in the Army. 
He enjoyed his garden, woodworking, camping and fishing and he especially enjoyed people.  He loved his family and grandchildren.  
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary "Daren" Volden and David Volden; daughter, Leslie Winther; seven brothers: Robert, Charles, Ron, Terry, Stanley, Michael and Brian; six sisters: Shirley, Mary, Jeanie, Rose, Sharon and Tonja; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
• Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel with Michael Danny Lucas, minister, Lighthouse Baptist Church. 
Burial will be private.
Memorials are suggested to Dumas Hospice.
