With the Ark River League Tournament on the horizon, West needed  a win to improve its seeding and to head to the tournament with momentum.

But Horace Good proved to be too much for the seventh grade Warriors, and West drop the regular season home finale, 34-20.

The Warriors battled the Hawks close early but had to convert at the free throw line to stay in the game.

West only trailed 7-5 after the first quarter despite only making one field goal in the period.

The second quarter proved to be the difference. Horace Good outscored the Warriors 7-2, and West’s only two points came at the free throw line.

Trailing 14-7 at half, West found some offense in the third quarter, but so did Horace Good, and West trailed 24-15 after the third quarter.

The fourth was much like the third, Horace Good outscored the Warriors 10-5 for the 34-20 win.

Both teams advance to the league tournament.
