He has enjoyed musical theater in his community and has played the roles of Harold Hill in “The Music Man,” Billy Bigelow in “Carousel,” PT Barnum in “Barnum” and Abner in “Li’l Abner.”

He has filled the position of Master of Ceremonies for many occasions throughout the Pratt area.

After many years of teaching and coaching in Pratt at the middle school, high school and college levels, JR “Jack” Ewing moved to the banking profession where he is the director of community relations and deposit officer at The Peoples Bank in Pratt.

“It’s good to be back in Liberal to be a part of this event,” he said. “It’s one of the best local pageants in the state.”
