Major leagues robotics competition comes to the Mid-America Air Museum this Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

Fourteen robotics teams from Liberal and 11 other communities converge for a Saturday robotics championship Tournament.

The event is free to the public. Watch as teams of young STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) student compete for champion and specialty trophies and honors.

Mid-America Air Museum is the leader in robotics programs in this 5-state southwest region. This Saturday’s championship will include robotics teams from Liberal, Guymon, Okla., Ulysses, Perryton, Texas, Holly, Colo., Meade, Beaver, Okla., Forgan, Okla., Fowler,  Tyrone Okla., and Garden City.

The Championship is sponsored by FIRST LEGO League, Golden Plains Credit Union, the MAAM Foundation and the City of Liberal.
