Obituary

Bob D. Moon, 82,  died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at his home in rural Texas County, Okla.

He was born June 28, 1931, to Clarence and Hazel (Robins) Moon in Liberal.

He married Betty Jo Sanger Oct. 2, 1953, in Liberal. She survives.

He was a graduate of Liberal High School and attended college at Panhandle State University.

He was a retired member of the National Guard and had also worked for Northern Natural Gas as an operator for 32 years before retiring in 1993.

He enjoyed gardening, raising show pigeons and his grandchildren. He was also an active member of the Liberal Senior Center.

He is also survived by his son, Barr Moon, Tyrone, Okla.; granddaughter, Dakota Moon of Turpin, Okla.; grandson, Kyler Moon of Texas; and great-grandson, Brekken Moon, Turpin, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

• Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rex Petty presiding.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
