The Turpin Cardinals saw their season come to a close with a 50-24 loss to Vici in the opening round of the district playoffs.

“They were bigger and quicker than we were and killed us on the boards,” Cardinals coach Gary Wallace. “They pressured us on the perimeter and we struggled to score.”

Vici took control early with a 16-4 advantage in the first quarter, but Turpin held ground in the second with each team scoring 10.

Vici put the game away with a 17-2 third to go up 43-16 heading into the fourth.

Kyler Musgrave was the Cardinals leading scorer with 7.
