GUYMON, Okla. — Liberal had two chances to escape Guymon with a win in the final three seconds, but both shots missed, and the Tigers added two free throws with 0.8 seconds to play to earn a 55-51 win.

Liberal trailed by four with 2:06 to play when Jared Hasik hit two free throws after a hard foul, and Guymon attempted to run out the clock, but Britton Abbott converted a Redskins steal with a lay-up to tie the game with 1:15 to play.

Guymon made a shot with 20.5 seconds to play, and the Redskins were able to get a shot in the lane from Abbott that missed. Collin Ware rebounded and kicked out to a wide open Hasik for a three, but that shot missed, and Hayden Coker rebounded but was called for  an over-the-back foul, and the Tigers put the game out of reach with the final two free throws.

Liberal will host Western Athletic Conference leading Hays Friday.
