Belva R. Taylor, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Liberal Good Samaritan Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1935, to Luther Peers and Edna (Hill) Wheat in Hereford, Texas.
She married Billy D. Taylor March 15, 1957, at Clayton, N.M. He died July 16, 1980.
He was a class of 1953 graduate of Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College.
She was a desk clerk for Gateway Inn for many years. She also worked for Kory’s Jack and Jill and several other stores at the Southgate Mall.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, her dogs and needlework.
Her survivors include son, Curtis Taylor and wife, Payson, Ariz.; daughter, Julie Krause and husband, Kory, Liberal; sister, Lisa Randall and husband, Danny, Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one grandson, Nicholas Keil Taylor.
• Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberal Cemetery with Pastor Rex Petty residing.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Miller Mortuary, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to Angels for Animals in care of the mortuary.
