The Beaver Dusters turned a two-point halftime lead into a 24-point blowout win to give Beaver a homecoming sweep against Boise City, 71-47.

Garrett Weber led the way for the Dusters with 28 points, including 11 during a 21-11 third quarter that gave the Dusters a double-digit lead (52-40). Hadley Skaggs scored 12 and Jorge Rivera added 12

“He was very consistent throughout,” Dusters coach Craig Schlessman said. “He played great in the second half, and it propelled our whole team. We were playing alright at the defensive end, but we made some adjustments to how we attacked their trap and they worked well.”

Beaver pulled away even further in the fourth with a 19-7 advantage.

In the first half, Boise City had their trap defense working, and led 17-15 by the end of the first quarter.

Beaver battled back in the second with a 16-12 advantage to take a 31-29 lead at half.
