Doris Jean Elston, 64, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born Aug. 28, 1949, to Jacob and Donna Myers in Chanute.

She married James Elston Feb. 22, 1969. He survives.

She graduated from Perryton High School in 1967.

She worked as a telephone operator.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, scrapbooking with family and friends, singing with her family and shopping.

She is also survived by daughters, Vicky Nobles and husband, James, Shattuck, Okla., Sherry Rcha and husband, Tony, Groom, Texas, Penny Rice and husband, Darrell, Decatur, Texas, Lorrie Cook and husband, Chris, Uvalde, Texas, and Jamie Mills and husband, Sheldon, Beaver, Okla.; one sister, Cindy Lewis, Twichell, Texas; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.

• Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the Beaver First Baptist Church with Jeff Bradley presiding.

Burial was at the Forgan Cemetery.
