McReynolds scores 33 in Lady Bulldogs win PDF Print E-mail

The Forgan Lady Bulldogs advanced to the semifinals of the Buffalo Invitational Tournament with a 59-52 win over the Fargo Lady Bearcats Thursday morning.

KaDawn McReynolds had an offensive game like she had never had before, scoring 33, including five three-pointers. McReynolds was 5 of 10 beyond the arc, and made 14 of 18 free throws.

Nikki Taylor also helped out with 17 points.

Forgan gained an 8-5 advantage in the first half, then doubled their three-point lead with a 14-11 second quarter (22-16).

The offense picked up for both teams in the second half, and Forgan added another two points to their lead with a 19-17 advantage in the third.

Fargo outscored the Lady Bulldogs in the fourth, 19-18, but could not overcome Forgan's lead.

Forgan (5-10) advances to take on No.7 Shattuck (13-2), who defeated Beaver JV 67-26 in their first round game, today at 4 p.m.
