The Turpin Lady Cardinals comeback came up short against the Lady Railroaders, with Waynoka winning 44-37.

After the first quarter the game was tied at nine, but a 16-8 advantage for Waynoka in the second put the Lady Railroaders up 25-17. Turpin fought back in the third, outscoring Waynoka 14-8 to cut the lead to just two (33-31) heading into the fourth.

But Waynoka held off the Lady Cardinals for the win.

Ashley Funk led Turpin with 17 points and was 5 of 5 at the free throw line. Alyssa Kinser added 8.

Turpin will host Boise City Tuesday.
