Still missing two players because of injury, the Hooker Bulldogs struggled to keep pace with one of the top teams in Class A, losing to Cheyenne, 50-36.

Cheyenne jumped out to a 12-3 lead in the first quarter, but the Bulldogs showed some bite in the second with an 11-8 advantage, but still trailed 20-14 at half.

Cheyenne added to their lead in the third with a 15-9 advantage to take the lead to double figures.

Daytin Metcalf scored 17 for the Bulldogs and Dakotah McBride added 11.

Hooker will take on tournament host Arapaho-Butler today.
