ULYSSES – Dale Alvin Dennett, 73, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at The Legacy at Park View, Ulysses, Kan.
He was born May 2, 1940, the son of C.W. (Bus) and Mildred M. (Canfield) Dennett, at Woodward, Okla.
He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He worked in the parts department of Murphy Tractor for 18.5 years.
He enjoyed welding, making woodcrafts, gardening, mechanic work and watching NASCAR.
He married Lovella Hagen on Jan. 25, 1964, at Woodward, Okla.. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Jodi Seabolt and husband, Charles, Ulysses; two sons, Donald Dennett and wife, Sherri, Liberal, Tim Dennett, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Doris Hauth and husband, Earl, Woodward, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gary Dennett; three grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
• Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church, Ulysses, with Rev. Kelly Gindlesberger presiding.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Midway Cemetery in Floris, Okla.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses.
