Tough defense has always been the signature of Lady Dusters coach Casey Jones' teams, and Friday night was no different as Beaver defeated the Booker Lady Kiowas 38-24.

Beaver was stout at the defensive end all night, never allowing Booker, Tex. to score in double figures in any quarter. And in the first half, the Lady Kiowas managed to score only nine points.

Beaver led 13-4 at the end of the first quarter, and held a commanding 25-9 advantage at half.

Booker doubled their first half output in the third with nine points, and cut into the Lady Dusters lead a bit, holding Beaver to just four points. Beaver still led by 11 heading to the fourth, 29-18.

Beaver held a 9-6 advantage in the fourth to assure their fourth straight win.

Jacinda Balderrama led the Lady Dusters with 20 points, and Kaitlin Kemp added 8. Beaver (8-3) is off for the Christmas break, but will return to action Jan 3rd when they host Forgan.
