ABOVE: In this Monday photo, a row of trees stretches across Leete Park to form what will later be a wind barrier. Parks Director Bill Houk noted now that the trees have been planted, “next time, playground equipment.”

Curbing is in place for the parking areas at Leete Park.

Houk also said that the city was replacing all the mulch in other parks and playgrounds Monday and Tuesday, and that as soon as those projects are taken care of, the playground will be installed in Leete Park. L&T photos/Giseelle Arredondo
