Library officials in the process of discussing plans for expansion

Few details are available at this time, but Memorial Library Director Jill Pannkuk did say library officials are in the process of discussing plans for expansion.

Pannkuk said the project is just getting started, and after the tenant of the building next to the library, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Haskell, Stevens and Seward Counties, moved out of that facility, which is owned by the library foundation, that board, along with other library officials, decided to explore an expansion of the library.

Pannkuk said that move was chosen over one which would have the foundation renting the building to another client. She said library officials will meet with the foundation next week before releasing more details about the project.
