The Meade Buffaloes girls dismantled the Deerfield Spartans Tuesday night in a 67-21 beat down to improve to 2-0 on the year.
Bailey Olvera and MaKenna Rudzik each scored 13 points to lead the Buffaloes.
The Meade defense stifled the Spartans offensively, allowing only four points in each of the first three quarters before allowing nine in the fourth.
Meade had no problem producing points. The Buffaloes relentless offensive attack kept the Spartans on their heels, and resulted in Meade going 12-of-15 from the charity stripe, as opposed to Deerfield going just 2-of-3 from the line.
Meade raced out ahead in the first quarter, 27-4, and proceeded to extend that lead in each quarter the rest of the way.
The lone bright spot in the game for the Spartans was Katia Chavira’s game-high 14 points in the losing effort.
Other top scorers for the Buffaloes included Jaylin Stapleton with nine, Mackenzie Moshier with six and Brooke Reimer also added six.
Meade will be in action again Tuesday when they host the Cimarron Blue Jays (2-0).
